DESIGN FILES :: THE WARMTH OF AUTUMN

The brief for this family room was pretty simple. We need it warm and hassle-free - like a good hug! And bam - that's what we delivered.

I relied on the warm tones of the ash colour wooden planks and played with a variety of wood colour accents in the room. A cool grey sectional sofa maximised the seating and beautiful shelving unit in grey and wood added enough sophistication to allow the room to go with the rest of the house vibe without being too over the top.

The accessories were kept simple allowing for the homeowners to add their own touches from travels and shopping trips. The soothing eucalyptus green was the prevalent accent colour that tied everything together and delivered that desired cosiness.
