DESIGN FILES :: LIGHT & AIRY

This might be a smaller scale project, yet it takes the exact same attention and care to every single detail as any of our bigger projects do. Aaaannddd its another happy return client who we were excited to give create a new home for.

If you have been following for some time, you might remember their Mirdiff home project from a few years back (if you don't ... you can check it here). The back then newly wed couple is now a young family with a toddler who have moved home from Mirdiff to Safa - and with that a demand for a fresh start with the beach vibes and safety requirements of a toddler home!

Today I present to you this Safa villa that was reworked to fit our clients lifestyle. Although much of investment pieces of furniture have been repurposed in the new space, we wanted the space to be multifunctional, light, bright and always cozy. For us, home has always been a beacon of comfort and our projects always follow suit. Honoring quality and lasting design, our style sensibility comes to life through modern heirlooms that fill our clients interiors.

And again in this home, texture, tone and a minimalist approach were key when it came to selecting all the finishes in order to maintain consistency and depth. From the entryway to the living/dining space and into the office - you feel the consistency throughout.

The anchor of the Living room was the custom designed tv unit with its white washed oak veneer, wooden slats that hid the television flanked by cabinets and details that really pulled the whole room together without overpowering it.

We also added in the stone details in the tables and accessories and simplistic artworks that added depth and complimented the overall look.

We carried through this simplicity in look and feel into the Guest room/ office/ mini library! This space works extra hard so we opted for an overall white look for the custom joinery and kept the color minimal with just the vintage rug and the colorful reading books on the wall.

Best of all we managed to fit in a full king size bed and sofa in the tiny room thanks to our custom Murphy bed design which is super easy to access and put back for whenever guests are visiting. With this the small room is fully equipped with everything necessary to fully function for WFH (Work From Home).
