For a beautiful Emarati family in Sharjah, Harf Noon Design Studio's designer Nisrine took a barebones villa and transformed it into a vibrant expression of their family life.

The villa already had great pieces, spaces and details to work with. Some of the furniture and the lighting were already there when we started, however there was still a lot to be tackled to give it that special homely feel the family wanted. In the process we picked pieces they wouldn’t normally explore or that were out of their comfort zone and seamlessly navigated our differences in opinions.

We ultimately expanded their aesthetic. You don’t know exactly what you want until you see more possibilities, or are exposed to new ideas and with that we managed to finish off the spaces giving each of them a unique feel.

The overall colour scheme we selected were a melange of silvers, toned down golds and lovely greys and aquas that were constant throughout the downstairs.

In the main Foyer, what was then a makeshift breakfast table now became a welcoming cozy corner with two light blue seats from Indigo living with a big black centre table decorated with ceramic vases that we sourced from Blanc D'ivoire.

For the first living room, we picked a heap of coffee table books (check out the selection here) to be the centre of the table that complimented beautifully the Bernhardt sofa and tables selection from Interiors and styled them with candles, silver obelisks from Marina Home, silver trinket boxes, an sand clock and some crystal selections from Zara Home.

We also replaced the colourful Gallery One paintings with some modern paper art from West Elm and balanced that with silver cylindrical table lamps from Zara Home as well.

The side tables were accessorised with silver picture frames, mini silver trays and Amethyst, and the final addition to the furniture was a lovely grey dark grey bench from Indigo Living that completed the seating plan in the room.

The space now is a lot more balanced and cozy and a favourite of the home owners!

Check out the transformation below and continue on to the Majlis and house tour here.
